Seismometable is a piece of domestic furniture controlled by an RSS feed telling when, where and how strong an earthquake is in the world. The table listens for this data and shakes accordingly in real time. It aims to discuss our relationship with natural disasters and how we might become more aware and conscious of a relationship with the natural world both near and far.
Seismometable is constructed in solid pine, with a wireless receiver connected to custom made electronics and hardware.
Seismometable is custom made to order, if you would like one, please get in contact with us.
