Matt Wade asked us to design and build him a bike for everyday use; to and from work, and the occasional long ride at the weekend. We made him a lightweight, relaxed frame, a lovely reynolds fork, lugged stem and a set of racks for carrying everything he needed.
We knocked up some ash and walnut mudguards and kitted it out with a mix of old parts he already had, along with some lovely nitto bars wrapped in shallac’d cotton tape, a Brooks B17 and a little brass bell. It’s all finished in a clear coat Lacquer to keep protected from the elements.
