Studio Raw approached us to design them a new work space – we discussed the idea of their perfect design studio; Rebecca wanted to be transported to a country farm house- everyone would work around a beautifully worn table, drink tea, draw, discuss their ideas and eat together. We used recycled scaffolding boards that were destined for the incinerator. They were dried out, painstakingly planed back to fresh wood and pieced together to form the table top, set on some beautifully turned legs made from more scaffolding boards. It got a nice bright drop of red gloss to help it stand out.
